Monthly Workshops by Dr. Erin Dugan at LSUHSC in New Orleans
Hello To All Louisiana Play Therapists!!!
I hope that everyone has eased nicely into the summer and enjoying the extra heat and much needed relaxation. As always, we hope that play is under way! First and foremost, I wanted to take the opportunity to thank Ray Melerine, LAPT Past President, for two years of wonderful service to the LAPT Branch of the Association for Play Therapy. As my presidency begins, I am eager to start planning with our board members, for the 2011 LAPT Conference featuring keynote speaker, Dr. Garry Landreth. The summer has been fun-filled and packed. We are already getting everything together for the conference kickoff!!! As the LAPT Board continues to grow, we will welcome two new board members into our branch at our next board meeting set for July 23rd: Sheila Gold (Membership Chair) and Adrianne Lolan (Publicity Chair). Please welcome and congratulate them on their new positions!!! This year LAPT will also host Community Forums in your area. If you are interested in co-chairing a community forum in your region, please email me at emart3@lsuhsc.edu. We hope to get the forums going by August 1st to advance LAPT's membership and interest.
I look forward to a wonderful experience and time to grow even more!
